I’m not a mother, so maybe I’m wrong, but I think it’s easier to be a good parent when you’re happy in your relationship.
People often say, “Happy wife, happy life,” and I think there is some truth to that. If a mother is unhappy, hurt, or emotionally disconnected in her relationship, it’s difficult for her to be the best version of herself.
I understand why someone might stay after being betrayed because they don’t want their child to grow up in a broken home. But I also think that a home can still feel broken even if the parents stay together. Children often notice tension, sadness, resentment, or a lack of love, even when nobody talks about it.
Of course, every situation is different, but I don’t think a person can completely ignore their own happiness forever without it affecting the family in some way.
