I pay my FA a lot per year. I have been with him for 7 years. He has made me a lot of money. It's money well spent in my opinion. I hope he enjoys his beach house as much as I enjoy mine.

A professional financial advisor simply has to beat me at financial planning by 1%. That’s it. Anything above that is gravy. I spend zero time stressing over my investment choices. I could probably learn to pour a concrete foundation with enough effort, but why would I?

I'm happy to pay an expert a few % to make me more money... especially when I don't have the time or experience myself. 1 or 2% for consistent net 18%+ returns is ok with me.

He’s been making me 15% on average I’m up 32% over the last few years. I’m good with paying my guy .5%… investing yourself, you get emotional, you will make bad choices that cost you way more than 1%

How do I find a flat fee advisor? We have a 1% now and I want to get out, but the way they have our stuff set up is so confusing that I need someone to help us understand where all our money is at and help us get control of it. I am having a VERY hard time finding any flat fee advisors near me.
