Awwww it just takes time! Takes 3 months or so for them to fully settle in (look up the 333 rule if you haven’t already). Just keep doing what you’re doing, she’ll get there before you know it! 🫶🏾

My pup is in his crate. I find that leaving him in his playpen gives him too much room for anxiety. I put soft puppy music on youtube and he sleeps for most of the time i'm gone. I settle him in his crate maybe 10 min before leaving and I reward him for being calm and so he knows I always come back. Seems to work

try leaving a shirt with your scent on it in the crate, and leave a TV on for it so it hears voices .this really helped with all of mine at this stage..

You need to train the pup that you will be back. Drop a couple treats in the pen, say I’m going to work (or whatever you like) leave out of site a few seconds. Come back give a treat. Do this multiple times a day. As the dog gets better about you leaving make the time a little bit longer. Eventually it’ll stop acting up and relax when you leave.

If that’s a toy poodle they have awful separation anxiety. Have one that is 12.5 and its been awful

She's used to having her siblings and mum around. Its tough on them being alone at first. As long as it's only short bursts she will get better, maybe some toys?

Might be too much space. When mine was really young he just had his crate. Also practiced leaving for really short amounts of time without a lot of fanfare, just into the create a quick good boy and I would leave. Come back in 15 mins or so, and again let him out without too much drama. He loves his crate now at 2 and will happily put himself in the crate when he’s tired etc.

Such a beautiful pup! You might want to consider a second companion pet, a kitten or another dog. It is common for little dogs to have separation anxiety. Although your dog is new to your home, this is a sample of how it feels in solitude.

It gets better. They’ll soon learn your routine. I gave mine a treat and reassured her saying ‘love you, I’ll be back’. Within a week she laid down immediately each time I left 👏🏾 🥰
