@evanadelune: ¡Viva España! 🇪🇸 I had the most amazing time at my Madrid workshops recently, for two fully sold out days of dance, laughter, and joy 🥰 I honestly adore Spain. It is where it all began for me in Europe, starting from my first performance in Barcelona for the Barcelona Burlesque Festival to headlining the same festival one year later. Feeling so loved and supported by everyone I met, and everyone that helped me and spent time with me! I'm sad I didn't make it back to Barcelona this time, but at least I got to see a few friendly faces in Madrid 😌 I remember being completely blown away by how quickly I made friends in Spain, and how fast my first ever European workshops sold out. I kept thinking: How do they already know who I am? And the answer is literally just the magic of the internet. ✨ In my workshops, I always ask students who their favorite performer is. More often than not, it’s someone they’ve never even met or seen live. It’s someone they’ve bonded with through a screen, someone whose art, struggle, or joy resonated with them across thousands of miles. It is so amazing that we have this tool to find people, connect with people, and share joy. This digital bridge is what allowed us to find each other, and turning those online connections into real life energy in the studio is something I will never take for granted.
