Battle River Trestle is the second largest at .85 km long. In Wainwright County. My dad has a gorgeous photo he took, framed in his home, with a CN train crossing it.

This is hanging in my house. Was my father-in-law's. He worked on the railroad for nearly his entire working life and crossed the bridge probably thousands of times.

I like when Christmas is coming and they light the train up with lights. 2025 I believe they even had a band playing when they stopped behing the london drugs pretty awsome to live where this bridge is located.

My dad when he was 6 years old would ride his bicycle across the bridge he said” when the train was coming on the bridge he would go down in the man hole and put his bicycle on his foot and hang there till the train went by. That was the only way to go to the west side at that time.

The High Level bridge in Lethbridge,AB. Canada is in the Guinness Book of world,s records. It the highest and longest train bridge in the world. There are some higher, yet not as long, and there some longer, yet not as high. Engineers today cannot copy it.

And it’s built to bend with the wind so that trains don’t go flying off when we get our crazy wind gusts

Fun fact, there’s a big bridge, jumping culture in Lethbridge. We climbe some of the trusses at the river, bottom and jump into the river can only do it sometimes in the year though, because the current gets so strong.
