one time my lights was off, and it was pending reconnection, so I took them to get ice cream- and to play at the park bc it was gonna get hot. It was taking so long for them to come back on (I could see from the park) patio light wasn’t coming on- so I ran to dollar tree for glow sticks, and told them we weren’t turning nothing on just dancing w glow sticks and laying down. They fell asleep- lights was still off. I cried so much while I showered in the dark, and then they came on finally. Next day: BEST DAY EVER MOMMY 🫠🥹 u got this mama. sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do… but ts will get done !

My son always says “ i miss the nice hotels we used to go to” whole time we was homeless in that era but hey glad u enjoyed it son 🥰😂

My mom used to struggle with depression and would take me to the park on her tough days. She never told me until i got older but she says hearing me giggle on swings was the only thing that brought her joy in those times

We couldn’t afford cable. But we had a VCR. So I would take the kids to check out movies from the library. Today my daughter is really into film.

I gave my daughter the only money I had one day for the tooth fairy. A $2 bill. It just so happened to print the year she was born. She thought the tooth fairy did it on purpose cause it was her 2nd tooth and her birth year on the bill. She still has it. Mothers can make magic out of nothing. ✨

We didn’t have a dinner table for the longest time so we always just had “picnics” in the living room. My babies are big now and still remember that and ask for living room picnics sometimes

I just gotta say.. thank you for not making your kid worry about the ADULTS concerns. I was always worried as a kid because I’d hear my mom talking about our problems and it put a lot on me as a kid! You’re doing great momma!! Everything will work out!!

I don’t know if you’ll see this, but I asked my deceased grandfather for a specific sign today of showing me bubbles if I am on the right track. I went the whole day and didn’t see any and as soon as I open TikTok, this was the first one that popped up. Thank you.

My dad came home with three children to find out EVERYTHING was turned off. So he decided to go camping on the house roof. We slept under the stars. Ask my siblings or me. That was our FAVORITE childhood memory.

we used to have a treehouse in our backyard and when my mom couldn’t pay the light bill we would have a camp night in the treehouse. we loved it but now i know the reasoning behind it 😭❤️🩹

the power and gas got turned off once, took us a few days to get to pay day. we camper out in the living room and bbqd outside...my kids still say that was one their favorite memories, for me its one of the most painful ❤️❤️❤️
