Liz The Music Manager :
This is the part people don’t see. Someone passes, you try to honor everything properly, and then a label says no over a relatively small amount of international publishing income. Four months later, my friend is still stuck dealing with it and paying legal fees that are higher than what the songs are making.

This is so fascinating to me because I know nothing about this business. Do you manage more than Stephen? You know so much and are such a good teacher

Labels hardly ever do the right thing - and when they do, it’s usually by accident. Sorry about your friend.

Reminds me of how DJ Khaled added his little son's name as Exec Producer to some albums to secure his financial future. It seems like an interesting idea.

Do you represent authors whose books they want to self produce the audiobook and publish without “Audible” label who’s deals are not fair?

Wow I would never have guessed something like that would happen. I’m sure you’re smarter than the labels at this point with everything you’ve seen and heard so I’m quite sure that you and Stephen have everything tied up nicely for you and little Stephen. Thanks for always educating us!

Has the phrase "label does the right thing" ever come to fruition in the history of music? 🤣🤣🤣
