They just sell your personal info. I’ve gotten a major uptick in spam calls ever since I’ve been applying. And no, none of those calls were the jobs I applied at.

The way jobs don't even send rejection emails at ALL. And the only VERY few rejection emails I got were AI, and the only interview I had they didn't even send a rejection after just pulley ghosted me. Mind you they took way over an hour of my time to do a test run with me. Even if I was not fit for the part they could at least take the time to send a rejection email after taking up my time.

Gonna rant here rq: I fucking hate doing the same shit over and over again applying to 10+ jobs a day only to get nowhere. I finished my degree and that and I always change up my CV only for it to get declined. I'm so tired, I not only want work but need work cos I have bills to pay for. Everyday is overwhelming and It feels like the world is not on my side. like I will be a good employee just give me a job please, I ain't asking for much universe..

I miss the days when you could walk in. Ask if they’re hiring. And they just ask for a resume and then you have an interview. 😭 like these online job boards are not doing it.

something has definitely changed.....in 2019 I had one super short and casual interview at Forever 21, got the job literally right after the interview. nowadays im back applying to retail (because I have bills to pay😭) and they want me to upload my resume, then copy and paste my work experience into the little boxes, then do a personality questionnaire, then answer questions that could just be asked in an interview? all that work and I haven't even gotten to the interview yet?

yes. i stopped applying. its like throwing paper airplanes at a brick wall and hoping it goes through. each application has its own curated resume and within days you are either ghosted or sent automated rejection email at 3 am. it’s demoralizing. i graduated from undergrad over a year ago from a reputable school. currently getting a masters degree from the same institution because i didn’t get a job and it was cheap financially speaking. i’ve been applying to jobs, paid, and unpaid internships. i’ve had two interviews, one was with an AI agent for a job that actually never existed. the other was a final round interview that never worked out. i ask my school for help and im told to try the usual websites that i am already trying. i ask my network and either get ghosted or get a referral, but it never leads to anything. i go to job fairs and im told apply online, only to get rejected days later or ghosted. at this point i dont know what to do anymore. what sucks even more is that people i graduated with and were friends with all got jobs. i dont say this to be jealous whatsoever, because i am not. but if everyone around me is getting jobs, then there must be something wrong with my resume and my stats. i ask advisors and other adults for advice and im told conflicting things. one advisor tells me to set my status on linkedin to #opentowork, another advisor tells me not to do that because i come off as a beggar. at this point i am very frustrated. i try to tell people about my frustrations but the adults in my life stop me from venting and brush it off by saying things like “it will work out” or bring up stories how they applied for jobs when the economy crashed in 2008 and still got employed. so there’s something wrong with me. i don’t know how to explain to people that this is genuinely worse than 2008. this is the lowest i’ve felt in my entire life, and idk how to make things better. hopefully this strikes a chord with someone. hopefully i’m not alone in feeling this way. thank you for reading this if you did.
