The thing is Coop wasn't part of the trade because the Mavericks were actively trying to not get a lottery pick. They had to lose a playin game to not make the playoffs. If they were suppose to get Coop then they would of made sure they got a lottery pick and lost more games

say it with me: lebron needed more help. Luka to the Lakers in exchange for the 1st overall pick in a generational class. Does that sound familiar to anyone else? Oh duh! They pulled the exact same stunt getting AD to the Lakers to help lebron. With zion coming up in the next draft class and the pelicans somehow securing the 1st pick.

Luka on the Mavs did nothing for the NBA. Look at the Celtics-Mavs Finals.. look at the ratings for it. AWFUL. The Celtics being in the Finals should be great for ratings…. AND you throw in Luka (future face of the league, possibly)?! And the ratings were trash. The NBA had to get Luka to Lakers or Knicks (big markets) and the Lakers are going to win every time. Lakers = HUGE ratings. Didn’t even shop him. Didn’t even require AR in the trade and only ONE pick?!?! How many picks did OKC get for George? How many picks did Jazz get for Rudy?! Please…. Obviously an Adam Silver trade. Poor Nico.
