@hicarsondogss: UPDATE: Adopted ❤️ I was honestly in shock when I walked into the play yard and saw which dog Lindsey had out. Just a few weeks ago, Timber was one of the most reactive dogs I had ever seen in his kennel. We wanted so badly to take him out, to show him he could trust us but he was just so scared. And I get it… this environment is so overwhelming. But it was never aggression. It was fear. He was never a bad dog. On Sunday, I finally met him outside of his kennel… and I couldn’t believe it was the same dog. I kept telling Lindsey..”there is NO WAY this is the same dog?!!!!” Like, we have to get this dog out!! He’s perfect. The second I walked into the yard, he ran up to me, gave me kisses, jumped on me… just so happy, so loving. He has this energy about him, you know those dogs that just make everything feel better? That’s him. The kind of dog you come home to after a long day and instantly feel okay again. Timber is only 3 years old. Came in as a stray. Shelter is recommending no other dogs and an adult only home (I personally think he’d do great with middle school aged children and up) Timber finally trusts us and now in just a few hours, he’s going to be euthanized.
