I find there to be a problem with diluting our fuel on May 1 with 15% ethanol. I think they’re just prolonging everything not to cause panic

This is exactly what happened after the stock market crash of 1929. In 1930, companies cut back hours and wages, which meant that workers couldn’t afford as many things, which meant that companies weren’t selling, so they cut back on hours, etc. It created what is called a deflationary spiral.

I’d like your professional opinion… what happens to the economy, to “normal” people, when we cannot afford to buy anything anymore and there are no jobs? Genuinely, wtf happens??😭

ai bubble could / should pop because the costs have gone way up. Helium, aluminum, natural gas costs all at a premium. data center infrastructure build out is not longer as viable. Fertilizer shortages mean potential for famine. This is not getting better any time soon.

Also worth noting is that not only are the billionaire/politician class not feeling it compared to the rest of the US but are profiting grossly off of it.

“If this goes on for another 6 months or more” uh… look if you think this is possibly not going to go on for more than 6 months I would like to understand your perspective. I think that is wildly optimistic to give it even a decent chance it doesn’t.

I mean the time it takes shipping to get to the U.S. takes several weeks. This past week is pretty much the first week we’re feeling the ripple effects of the closed strait which makes me think we haven’t seen the full impact yet.

Because we are running a $2T debt!! As long as we can sell our debt at reasonable yields no way to have a recession!! It would take a bond scare to throw us into a recession!! Unless confidence crashes and stock market crashes!!

Why is SPY still so high? Should we expect a delayed response and that it will go down later? Is it unrelated or based on other industries?
