the glitch is "simple contract". Most stipulate the legal tender in the contract, credit or debit card, money order, cash. However if it does not EXPRESSLY deny a type of tender, then the above is a preference. Also a card is not tender...the credit and debit is the tender so you get them there.

Very true. Do the remittance administrative process. Stand your ground when you tender the coupon with written instructions. Keep calling/ emailing and give the company written notice of a security coming. If the billing company fails to recognized your bill of exchange or coupon file a formal complaint get a number. Talk to a supervisor. Send your tender in the USPS certified with the Postmaster. If they do not abide by Ucc3-306. Tell them you will notify the Post master General. My lights came right back on. They have never turned off since. An easier way is to get a money order from USPS to pay the bill. Those companies are on notice with but send your hand written notice too

the United States of America ONLY has the authority to create coin or currency and it must be backed by gold or silver. fiat money is NOT currency and not meant to pay debts. a "bill" is legal tender of payment.
