Some of those dogs were Scottish Deerhounds not Irish Wolf Hounds, they're very closely related but Wolf Hounds are slightly bigger and Deerhound have longer snouts and the body shape of Lurchers. I've had five Deerhounds, my current one is called Peggy, all of them have different personalities but are very gentle and sweet natured.
