I just replaced the CCV in my E39 530i…without taking off the manifold or breaking any of the old connectors (I wanted to preserve their condition so I could see if any were the source of my stubborn vacuum leak)

just imstal a catch can with a return to the dipstick and a PCv valve done no more CCV problems and you can clean the can way more reliable
