I just checked with my AI about Japanese postal rates. Shipping about 20kg from Japan to the US costs around ¥51,000, which is about $320. However, if you're only sending less than 10 pounds of stuff, the price might be closer to what you mentioned

About the luggage, I bought one once I was in Tokyo Haneda Airport cause I had just a small bag and.. In the next few days I have to go to Akihabara so.. You know~ 🤩

im so glad we did luggage forwarding n our hotels, made travelling between cities so easy. We also got a storage bag for 500yen from 3 coins for adittiibal baggage int he way home!

I used Yamato on my trip and they were very good, our luggage always arrived a day later so we just kept our essentials with us for the first night of the hotel

Our lovely hotel organised all the baggage transfers. Was so much nicer to travel not worrying about lugging big bags. Only pain was it had to go the night before we left
