be careful some adhesives will bleed through the silver coating on the back of mirrors unless it has a sealer on it

Piper5440 :
While Gorilla HD General Purpose Adhesive is a STPE adhesive and as such is less likely to affect mirror silvering than solvent-based adhesives, chances are good it will damage the silvering on the back of the mirror, especially when applied in circles; the enclosed center of the circle will take forever to cure, and will make it easier for the wet adhesive to eat through the silvering.
Best to use a neutral cure silicone sealant applied in vertical lines so as to allow air flow by convection behind the mirror. And always support the mirror mechanically until sealant has fully cured, usually at least 2 weeks depending on quantity of sealant and relative humidity.

you need to use mirror adhesive. I did what you did and two years later you could see my glue blobs through the mirror

I installed big mirrors with adhesive. When the bathroom gets slightest steamy, can see the exact pattern of adhesive from condensation. 😳
