New crocheter here (I don’t think that’s a word) is it unrealistic to make a single crochet baby blanket? I struggled to make a waistband for pants that was all half double crochets. Am I going to go insane trying this?

Even measuring tape is a stretch 😂😂😂 helps if you also have a friend who has experience to answer any questions you have 🥰🥰🥰

yes avoid fluffy yarn to start with. my son wanted a turtle so I made it with arran yarn a few times so when it came to using fluffy yarn I could do it blind as you can't see the stitches so well.

i got polyester yarn from the book store and it’s kinda of like those fluffy wires, but way softer and so much easier to work with than my other yarn 😭 is it bad?
