Why did Toyota destroy the tundra by getting rid of the 5.7.

Love my 2019 tundra platinum v8. Yeah gas sucks, but hey I don’t have to worry about turbos later when I have high mileage

the skid pan sucks putting it back on by yourself. 2019 tundra. change the oil every 5000 miles. I use mobile 1 0w-20 full synthetic

My 2003 Corolla has 400,000 miles. I’ve always changed the oil every 3,000 miles. I only use 10w-30 diesel oil.

Feel like something else is going on. Got a 2019 3.5 ecoboost. Got 148,000 miles on it and change the oil every 5000 miles and the oil never comes out looking like that.

Turbo is a bad idea 👎. Bring back the v8s and V6s for the smaller vehicles, Toyota

Sticking to my 2015 Tundra . I will wait to upgrade until they bring back the naturally aspirated v8s

This is the very reason I have not bought a new truck from Toyota. I’ll just keep driving my 2002 Toyota Tacoma.

The “look” of the oil doesn’t tell the story. Need an oil analysis to get real details. 10k interval is FAR too long though.

That's obviously wrong. Otherwise almost every turbo vehicle would look like that and it doesn't.

2020 tundra did 10k oil changes for first 100k (all highway miles needed changed every other month) then started 5k oil changes with valv Restore and protect and now at 166,000 just fine so far.

You can’t properly analyze oil based on color alone. You have to have it lab tested to know what is really going on inside your engine
