Hi, I’m a 4th-year nursing student. I don’t see anything wrong with the video. The nursing students in the video were doing a great job helping Tatay. It’s not a crowding situation because there was enough space for him to move and for air to circulate. They also provided shade so he wouldn’t be exposed to the sun, and they gave him airflow using their mini fans. As nursing students, we are trained to know what to do. There may be minor mistakes or shortcomings, but we are trained to prioritize the most important interventions in situations like this. Also, the one who took and posted the video seemed to have diagnosed it as heat stroke on their own, but according to the student nurse who explained, that wasn’t the case. We are trained to do proper assessments in situations like this. We may still be students, but we do have the knowledge and training to respond appropriately. Great Job Future nurses for helping Tatay!
