Just dry fry them. You don’t really need oil. Even using oil it doesn’t need that much. The best mushrooms are cooked with a little oil and let the liquid come out,cook it away and brown them. No more oil. Perfect. Just salt and pepper

in the foraging community we always just cook them down dry with salt, the salt draws out the moisture and helps with flavour and then when the water has fried off you add a chunk of butter

Nah, just dry sauté till they sweat enough to brown, then add just a touch of your chosen fat. They’ll brown in a snap.
