If u choose the yellow circle (-) thats right next to the red (X). Usually just saves it for later and u can open it right back up if u press the app

Command W closes a tab or a window. Command Q closes an app entirely. Command M minimises a window (in your dock). Command H hides a window.

I genuinely don’t understand what you’re trying to ask. There are no any tabs on the screen, I’ve read your answers and turns out you mean “apps”(or windows). You want to close a window without closing another ones? The red button on top of every window is right there, just like on every other computer

Command + Q = closes the entire app, BUT Command + W = closes only the tabs. The app is still running in the background.

So to turn this off go to your settings app, then “desktop & dock” on the left, then scroll down to the “desktop & stage manager” section and set “click wallpaper to show desktop” to “only in stage manager” and then below that turn off “stage manager”.
