@fixingpain: Side-lying psoas work. To find it, I’ll clear the superficial tissue and sink in just medial to the ASIS until I’m in that deep hip space. From there, I’ll have the client gently lift their leg about an inch to activate the hip flexor so I know I’m right on the psoas. Once I’ve got it, I pin the tissue and have them drive their foot slightly behind them. That creates a controlled lengthening while I hold tension on the muscle. To finish, I’ll add an overhead arm reach to open up the ribcage and combine that with some leg movement (adduction/abduction) to layer in a deeper stretch through the psoas and lower lumbar. Controlled activation + pin + movement = better release. #psoasrelease #hipflexor #manualtherapy #bodywork #fyp
