Because ALL of these DC comics were created in the 20's century. Back when orientalism was NOT considered a form of racism but an "objective truth". Back then; The US was more Alt Right/ Nazi-like & MAGA than even now. I remember reading some "Palestinian Terrorist" in the Death in the Family Comic and that's just one of the infinite lines in that era of Comics, there were also a supposedly "Palestinian Terrorists" group and a supposedly "Israelite Mage" who was the good guy in a random arc in the Spectre Run of 1992🤣. Like, they were writing shi like this casually too. And that's a result of the entire country being brainwashed. You can argue that this shi was still a thing in the 2000's and EVEN the 2010's as well to a lesser degree. Things started to take a turn for the better just around the mid 2010's and early 2020's all because more leftist writers started joining DC and the world itself became more woke (mostly because of Social Media) shutting down any type of racism/ regionalism/xenophobia/ homophobia/ transphobia etc immediately.
