Thank you so much for making this because I never understood why some people specifically full on hate both aang and korra when they’re both reflections of each other, neither aren’t perfect, and both are equally flawed which makes them who they are🥹🫶🫶.

All her enemies had told her the same: "You are no longer needed. The world can and should go on without you." And there she is. Listening to Tenzin saying the air nomads will fulfill the Avatar's chores while she recovers. That's the breaking point. Realizing herself that her enemies were right. She's not needed anymore.

This is perfect. I’ve always seen it as Korra’s realization at just how mentally broken she is. Here she is watching a truly momentous moment that she helped make happen. Surrounded by only people who love and respect her, surrounded by chosen and given family alike in what should be a joy filled occasion. Yet she feels none of it, she feels alone and broken and ashamed. I see it as a moment where she realizes that if she can’t feel even a little happy here, she may never feel it again.
