As a manga reader, Qifrey is not morally gray at all. And people saying this mis-characterizes him. A morally gray character is someone whose ethics themselves are ambiguous or conflicted. Qifreys internal ethics are sound and he’s genuinely a good person. It’s just his emotions and pursuit for revenge that make him do rash things. But it’s his good moral compass that makes him realize those things are rash and not justified. A character can be psychologically complex while still being morally good.

Anime only, but probably will be a manga reader soon. ( I am too broke for manga and was worried it would end up in the dreaded limbo of being really good,but never be completed.) I am willing to bet that he is hundred percent chaotic neutral. He is chill until he isn't and will act to his own moral code, his way.
