I'm in Wisner they won't even let me have a mailbox told me that they can't add any extra miles to their route I go to the Post Office post office won't let me have a Post Office box because I don't have mail to my address and I can't get mail to my address without a box then they refused to let me get a mailbox when there are mailboxes on my street.

I moved my mailbox from the house to the lawn because of a new wheelchair ramp 10 feet closer to the road end of the ramp near driway. easier access had to go to court because of a lazy mailman. not only won case USPS had to pay all my legal expenses. + 10 for my time

They did this to my minister. Her father worked for the USPostal Service so when box was placed it was the proper height. Fast forward 20 years and probably 2 rounds of new black top. Delivery person gets a new keep all of a sudden everyone on that route gets a letter. Shame on you USPS. Raw assed people.

You can Google what standard mailbox height should be. your mail carrier should be able to reach your box without having to leave their car, or hang halfway out the window to reach it . If you have a lock box and they can’t get packages into it you will have to go get your own packages.

My mail woman stuffs things in my box so she doesn’t have to walk 10 feet to put it on my porch..sometimes it’s nearly impossible to take out because it’s stuffed in there so tightly

I live in the country on AL. After a years I randomly had a notice I needed to lower my mailbox. I was confused but needed my mail so had planned a day off work so I could do so. Before I could do so they left a notice I needed to raise the pole 🧐 mind you my mailbox and the neighbors are beside each other and they never said anything to them. Our mailboxes are the same height. I went to the post office and showed my tail and haven’t heard a word since.
