@gray.area.finance: Monthly budget for May. We’re spending £300 more than we earn this month 👀 one salary, a newborn, a mortgage — and we’re not hiding from it #ukfinance #Budgeting #maternityleave #moneytok #personalfinanceuk
Cut down on takeaways and cook them at home - saved us loads - some great fakeaway books out there - good luck 🤞🏻

In this day and age, my advice is don’t have any children unless you can survive on one salary. Life is far too expensive these days. Or, instead of children get a dog. Believe me that they are infinitely better than children in every way and won’t cost you hundreds of thousands of pounds over their lifetime. They’ll also bring more joy and love into your life.

Surely you cut down on your ‘wants’?… I’m in the same scenario and we need to make it work on one salary. We have one child in full time childcare, our other child is 5 months. The struggle is real

Yeah immediately you need to cut the takeaways. You have to make sacrifices during this time. You don’t get to complain and then spend all that money on takeaways
