colin, your numbers are incorrect, and you missed out on a key aspect: jet a is just dirty diesel fuel without taxes. so you should compare it with diesel, not gasoline. Or compare gasoline with AV gas.

so referring to jet fuel as gas. jet is a kerosene, like diesel, different than gas. i am surprised though. jet must be filtered everything's everytime it's transferred

in smaller planes like a Cessna 172 I’ve come to learn it’s about twice as expensive to fly as it is to drive for me specifically but it takes about half the time. It’s not really a saving money factor it’s time savings

$4/gallon, send me that..thats cheap. where i am we were paying over over $3/litre, so that works out to be around $11-12 per gallon.

Depends on how many people are going. Just you? Probably take the car. Your entire family or work group? Probably take the jet. Of course if you NEED to be there asap, time is money so the jet will always win out
