It's so nice to see that Atreus of Sparta was the symbol of hope, but then died, Kratos decided to name his son after him, and Kratos became a symbol of hope for the other realms that were under Odin's palm, while Atreus was also a big part to stop Odin so we could say he was a symbol of hope as well

I see ppl say that Kratos only started caring for Atreus recently in the games and this I think disproves it massively. Kratos lost his family from himself, he was scared to get close (and obv with his spartan training, would be hard on his son). And even with that fear he named his son after a man who inspired hope and goodness, a symbolism of how his boy was his living hope that he could be redeemed and wasnt just a tool for war.
