It isn’t abandoned it is now kind of a museum as well as there was a fire and a flood and mythological history stuff about Medusa getting killed at that pond by Perseus as y can see at the fountain where Perseus is holding medusas head like a trophy with a knife it is really cool tho I loved it and want to go again!

I remember it before british heritage took it over. itcwas just abandoned. you could get into the cellars but they were very dangerous as flooded. It is a magnificent house and fountain
