What's funny about little Gohan in Japanese is that both his parents speak in a very informal dialect, and his dad especially speaks in a way that's seen as casual and impolite, but Gohan speaks in a very proper dialect and is extremely polite for a 4 year old.

there's a lil' filler ep in the anime where Goku, Chi Chi, and Ox King are trynna figure out what to call the kid. And all the names Chi Chi brings up make the baby cry and it isnt until she's yelling at Goku, asking him "what would gohan think?" that the baby finally started laughing and when Goku realizes that he likes that name he starts getting so excited like "That's your name! Gohan! You like it dont you?" and its the cutest shit EVER
