I think it’s absolutely fine to put your seat back. I personally don’t but I do think if it’s during the day and people are eating probably best not to out of kindness but at night perfectly fine.

the recliner option was introduced when there was plenty of space. since then seats have been squished so closely together that reclining is now an intrusion.

I was on a flight to Las Vegas… the man in front was in my lap…. I literally could smell his hair…. I did complain as it was too far back!! I could keep a drink on my table and watch the screen 🤣

Ah I had someone push my daughters seat back every time she tried to push it back to lie down for a 10 hour flight- it was a kid so he still had loads of room and he wasn’t using the screen he was in his Nintendo switch. If it reclines then they should accept it and it’s so annoying as them makes me feel awkward that my kid is doing something she is perfectly in her right to do

I was on a flight to Mexico with family. The guy in front of mum reclined so much when food came she had to hold tray. I asked him if he could sit up a bit for meal but he swore and became aggressive. No common manners at all. I don't mind slight reclining but when you're practically in the persons lap it's not on.

The airline should have a window of time where whoever wants to recline can. I was on a long haul flight once and the person in front of the person next to me reclined it as soon as we got onto the plane and the man’s legs next to me were literally wedged in the whole flight I felt really sorry for him
