I’m a nail tech. I started in 2022 and I would take 6 hours. Then I got it down to 4.. then 3.. now four years later and I’m finally down to 2 hours!! For the girlies that sat through all that I couldn’t be here without them. And TRUST we know and see your pain of sitting for so long WE LOVE YOU FOR IT!! 💗😭

Nail tech here, you ppl need to realize that doing nails takes a long time, people do not realize how much skill it takes to actually do nail art. And it doesn’t just come easy to everybody, so when you’re sitting in our chair for longer than an hour, you need to just deal with it or go to a chop shop and be in and out in 45 minutes with a crappy set because it will definitely look like it and probably have cuts on your fingers from them not being careful and caring about your hands and nails. I’m newer to nails and I can take around six hours on a set unfortunately at the moment, will it always be like this no, but do my nails come out flawless yes. Nails take time, clean artwork takes time, not hurting the client throughout the process takes time and in general getting a service done in the beauty industry takes time. So please be patient with us when we also do not want to be having to take this long on a set, but that is just our speed. Will we get faster at it? Yes, but please just be understanding while we are in this phase of our nail journey. <3

Hi! I’m a beginner nail tech, and timing is my biggest struggle. Time management with nails is incredibly hard to balance. If you prefer quick nails, it’s usually better to go to a Walmart or chain salon :)

I stopped going to my usual nail salon because the girl i booked with who took an hour would always have her apprentice do mine instead. I normally wouldn't mine, but she took 3-4 times as long.
