I was doing battery installations for AT&T and we would keep the scrap or when we change out battery racks we would keep and split the old cables, I had an entire pile saved up in my garage and took a whole day to strip em but when I turned it in no lie I ended up with $14,000 cash but that was for about half a year of just putting it to the side

same with plumbing. the apprentice doesnt understand why I save the scrape copper. its $800 roughly every 7 to 8 months. it adds up!

im in commercial hvac and I'll generally save up a summers worth of motors/compressors. anything with a copper coil i unroll it
