@goodgriefnp: Not gonna lie…this lady represents actual footage of me in palliative mode!! It’s a little funny… until you realize how accurate it is. This is literally how these conversations go in real life. No one teaches families what the dying process actually looks like… so when it happens— the sleeping more, the not eating, the changes in breathing— it feels scary, confusing, and wrong. But most of it? It’s the body doing exactly what it’s supposed to do. In palliative care, we’re not “giving up”… we’re helping people understand what’s happening so they can stop fighting the process and start supporting it. Sometimes that means hard conversations. Sometimes it even sounds a little like this. And honestly? I wish more people heard it this way before they were in the moment. #greenscreenvideo #palliat#palliativecaree#hospicecarei#endoflifenddyingcat

Death is not sad. Death is only sad for the people who have to carry on without you. Death is as natural as birth.

She killed that whole monolog. She plays it genuine and comforting.

Will never forget my mum’s rally. My last interaction with her was when she asked me to order her a large pizza from dominoes for dinner. Mind you, she hadn’t eaten in nearly a week, but she suddenly had a burst of energy, and we shared the pizza. It was the best damn pizza I’ve ever eaten.

I wish society was more open about death. I saw my dad die of lung cancer. It was traumatizing. I still fear death. I don’t know why.

My mom was a hospice/home health nurse. She talked openly about death but very calmly. “Everyone dies, and deserves to die with dignity” I think if more ppl talked about it and were more prepared for it, it would help those that are left behind.

I really wish someone had talked to me about this when my mom was transitioning. It is a beautiful time though. It was a gift. I remember thinking "you brought me into the world & I'm here to help you out of it."

Nope. I can’t accept it. If I think about it too much I start having a panic attack. I’ve been like this since I was 6 years old. I can remember the first time I asked what happens to me when I pass.

she makes it sound…how do i say this…comforting? something to look forward to? I’ve never heard it said this way but certainly changes the perspective of death, at least the natural death.
