Will never forget my mum’s rally. My last interaction with her was when she asked me to order her a large pizza from dominoes for dinner. Mind you, she hadn’t eaten in nearly a week, but she suddenly had a burst of energy, and we shared the pizza. It was the best damn pizza I’ve ever eaten.

My mom was a hospice/home health nurse. She talked openly about death but very calmly. “Everyone dies, and deserves to die with dignity” I think if more ppl talked about it and were more prepared for it, it would help those that are left behind.

I really wish someone had talked to me about this when my mom was transitioning. It is a beautiful time though. It was a gift. I remember thinking "you brought me into the world & I'm here to help you out of it."
