Water has big energy capacity which means it can handle lots of heat and when water gets hot it gets less dense so then the more dense water displaces the less dense hotter water and in the ocean there is a lot of water so to heat it all up is extremely hard also there is a 40 mile thick layer of rock between the surface and the mantle

so let's say the center is lava at whatever temp and yes the bottom of the ocean is freezing what if let's say you turn off the lava the bottom woukd be even colder so in other words if no lava the earth would be frozen completely right

Cold water sinks, hot water rises- cold will always be at the bottom.

Blud, below the ocean floor is just the crust which is not that hot there is about 6000km of solid ROCK beetween the ocean floor and the earths core. The reason the ocean floor is cold because the sunlight can reach it.
