@adivunsolicited: There’s a trend of Gen Z wanting to use the N word and they don’t know or understand the history of the weight of that word. From being used to subjugate us as subhuman, to the last thing we heard at lynchings or black women being assaulted, the n word has a gruesome and painfully dark history. we reclaimed the word but the ownership remains with black people #BlackTikTok #BlackHistory #reclaimation #History
"its a struggle word" yeah you right its a struggle everyday to get people who aren't black to not say it DAMN!

I'm a white woman in my thirties, and 10 years ago I was an au pair to a nigerian family in London. We were on a trip to the beach when the dad played some song in the car and he sang the n word... the mom was PISSED when he encouraged the kids -all under 5- to say it. It shocked me how shocked the husband was when she told him off and berated him for over an hour until he gave in and lectured the kids and himself. I've never been quieter in my life. The mom also said something about him clinging to USA standars for the use of that word and I think that was what made him realize black brits and black americans do not share the same experiences, so the mom had another point against him for that. I don't know, it shocked me to hear the whole argument and try to make the kids less uncomfortable but still let them learn from their parents.
