I accidentally got treated like a food critic before. asked for a table for one at a really busy restaurant and they sat me quickly at a really nice table that should have sat a whole family. best steak ive ever had. it looked like it was in a magazine. and they gave me free drinks and a free side of extra food. it was wild. went back the same week with a friend and it was so much different and food was cooked with less love 🥲

can confirm this does work, I remember i went to a nice jazz club for an assignment in college and had to take notes. I was seated in the worst spot and they moved me to the best spot.

One time I went to brunch by myself and i happened to have a notebook with me so i just journaled and made lists for myself. The staff def thought i was a critic and started checking in with me every 5 secs but they never brought me anything free 😔

Accidentally did this once HAHAHA.. Accidentally coz after ordering food, I pull my tab out from my bag and subconciously observing the surroundings and then typing something on my tab.. I was shocked staff smiles and entertains me while I am peacefully doing my business. And then the food came, the manager (i assume coz his uniform is different from others) is standing in front of me while I am savoring the first two bites of my order and also giving FYIs about the dish.. I then realized something -- they thought I am a food blogger or something since I also put my action camera and my phone on the table and the moment I realize it, I started acting like one 😁😁😁😁 After eating, manager handed me a QR code and asks me to write a feedback and I was the only one at that time to get asked.. What's more embarrassing is that -- all eyes are on me now.. 😁
