I am sorry sorry to say that because your song is in fact very beautiful and partially true... but. I LOVE my husband, and marriage was easy very easy right up until we became parents. And my husband is an amazing dad. The source of friction for us is simply being tired and fighting who's gonna get a bit more rest next. To get a bit of a hobby in. To go out without a kid. To do chores evenly. And we don't fight often, but there's this tension of never never having enough rest. That is my experience of why marriage is hard😅

So many people snarkily told us “just give it a few years…” when we got married. It’s been 8 years. We’re still best friends. We belly laugh together every day, we share joy and love and encouragement with each other. Marriage is magical if you choose the right person and I stand by that.
