We do that too! As soon as the pay comes in money is put in three different savings accounts- regular, house fund and our childrens’ fund. We are lucky we can do this.

Go take the nap. Drink your water from a wine glass. Enjoy being at home, yea you pay for it already... 💯%

I underestimate my pay, and over estimate my bills. So if I get paid 639.75 then I make that 635. If there is a bill for 498.17, I'll pay 500. (Unless it is car rego or something that needs to be exact.)

Just learn your love languages and how you feel loved. Usually it isn't Gift giving. It can be quality time and acts of service - so what you need is intentional time with yourself (walking, cooking, watching a movie) and giving you a good service like cleaning your house or doing a chore that you procrastinate on for months

Define “Pay yourself first”, please! How much do you give yourself? Honestly, my first obligation is my rent. Single with Single income.

Self care, for me, is doing my own nails, taking a hot bath with bath bomb, drinking some wine and cooking a delicious meal.

I monetize my hobbies and when I'm bored or feeling special I enjoy them and then make money from them.

I dont get anything on finance, I save up for things so if my bills are more than expected one month then I dont have to stress about paying that extra bill, plus no interest on things brought outright

okay i have to share this the noise app has been my go-to for extra money lately. you post branded content and they pay you based on how many views you get. you don't need to be an influencer

Instead of the fake-dopamine hit from Amazon purchases, bath bombs and manicures, I have a ‘pay myself’ account that is for meaningful self care. Setting a goal, and working towards it. My parents didn’t talk about money either. And I embarrassingly deferred money stuff to my ex-husband. A divorce in middle age with zero money knowledge shook me. I’m SO grateful to content like this and podcasts. They’ve taught me how to be smart about money.

Self care to me is being debt free - owning my home - saving some money every pay period and planning for retirement but living below my means but no below my joy 🥰
