Because if he can keep you distracted, offended, tired, emotionally unstable, and spiritually lazy… he doesn’t have to destroy you fast. He can destroy you slowly. That’s why warfare is not always a horror movie moment. Sometimes it looks like procrastination. Sometimes it looks like returning to what God delivered you from. Sometimes it looks like silence in prayer because guilt convinced you God is mad. Sometimes it looks like entertaining people God told you to release. Sometimes it looks like exhaustion from fighting battles you were never assigned. The enemy studies patterns. He watches what breaks your focus. He learns where your flesh still agrees with what heaven already rebuked. That’s why discernment matters. You cannot fight spiritual battles with only natural responses. Some things require prayer. Some require fasting. Some require silence. Some require distance. Some require repentance. Some require deliverance. And sometimes… the warfare is you. Your pride. Your unforgiveness. Your delay. Your disobedience. Your refusal to let go. Everything is not the devil. Sometimes God is trying to heal what you keep protecting. Real warfare starts with honesty. “Lord, show me what’s attacking me…and show me what I’m still feeding.” Because freedom requires both authority and surrender.
