@kctv5: Missouri is suing Dollar General, accusing the company of charging customers more at the register than the listed price on the shelves. One retail expert says it may not be a business strategy, but rather the result of understaffing. #fyp #kctv #news #lawsuit #dollargeneral
They start employees at $9.50 and hour here. The stores are a mess and they can't keep employees. Most of the time there is only one employee to handle customers, stock, and clean.

I drove for Dollar General for 2 years out of their Fulton, MO distribution center. And I can tell you right now. Understaffed stores are done by design. Store managers aren't given enough hours to fully staff the store. I knew store managers that were working 80 to 90 hours a week. Just because they didn't have enough hours available to have employees on the floor.

The reason why they’re having staff shortages is because Dollar General refuses to pay their employees a reasonable paycheck.

Dollar General has ALWAYS been high it’s a rip off and markets itself as being less when it’s always been overpriced. Glorified convenience store is all it is. Stay away from them
