@lids_6: TLDR: 1. Write your name on the board as soon as you enter the OR 2. Introduce yourself to EVERYONE 3. Pull your gown/gloves and hand it to the scrub tech/circulating nurse steriley (bonus if you grab gloves for your resident although NOT required) 4. Grab 2 warm blankets for the patient before and after surgery 5. Move the patient’s bed in/out of the room 6. Help move the patient IF YOUR HOSPITAL ALLOWS 7. Ask someone to walk you through putting in foleys 8. Help prep the patient for surgery (positioning, arm tucking, etc) 9. During surgery, you can cut sutures, adjust lights, retract, & hold cameras.
