i mean yemen is known to have the first sky scrappers, there is a town full of sky scrappers that is called Shibam (still inhabited today) which was built in the 3rd century.

The architecture we have now is NOTHING compared to the architecture from back then. Beautifully hand carved, and actually time and effort put into such beauty. The architecture now is bland and boring. Respectfully.

I’m from Yemen 🇾🇪 yafa’a to be exact (south side of Yemen) I’ve lived in Sanaa for 2 years and Aden for 3 and have been to 15+ cities and hundreds of villages. I didn’t like it at first but now I’m infatuated with the county. I’m going back on the 1st to see my wife and baby who’s turning 4 months old! Thanks for adding a spot on my bucket list, don’t know how I never heard of this before 😂
