@jones_tiara: This is a conversation I’ve been waiting to have and I felt like today is the right time. You can dress modest and be stylish! You can love God and have nice things. There are so many people in the Christian community that leave comments saying someone’s not dressing modestly all because they have a designer item or it’s colorful or eclectic. God calls us to dress modestly yes but he also created fashion! Let’s not be legalistic when it comes to the modesty conversation. Additionally, yes, we are called to dress modest in and out of church but there’s a time and place for certain outfits. Some of my colorful and bold outfits I wouldn’t wear to church so I don’t distract others from worshipping God but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t wear that outside. Lastly, I do get a lot of things gifted to me because I do content so just because it’s flashy doesn’t mean I’ve bought it! Anyways— I’m done ranting LOL.
