Hey dad! I work at a hardware store. Duct tape should NOT be used for this application (I know it's what it's called. It makes for really bad confusiom) It should really be aluminum foil tape. Might save a future house fire! Best, ❤️

Really shouldn’t use duct tape on dryer vents, or screws. Should be using the heat tape, it’s silver and has a white pull off on it
