Had he been a kinder person I believe Sally would have married him, but he did not treat her good enough and she did deserve better! In his last years he always said Sally was the one that got away, he had a lot of respect for her in the end.

I feel bad for BERT. I actually got to meet him in person at the time. I was working in my restaurant. I had a big restaurant here in San Diego and Cisco. Cisco foods invited me up to I think it was up there in Wilshire, somewhere in a hotel he was gonna be there. The stars from the love boat and a couple other stars were gonna be there. It was kind of like a meat and Greek free food free drinks. We're they took us up there on the bus and then they paid for the cab to take us home. Since obviously we'd be drinking and I got a picture of myself with him. My dad went along with me too. He made some beautiful movies and I feel so bad that he got messed up with Lonnie. The movie deliverance and sharky's machine are the two that I really enjoyed a lot
