Please play with whoever/however you want. While later game content DOES get harder without meta teams, you can still find a way to do it, though you still may need a few newer characters to make it easier, theres no reason to whale to get a premium team

play how you want, you don't have to worry about meta unless you want to do all the hard endgame content like Stygian onslaught (which there is co-op options for that), max out imaginarium theatre, or do level 12 of spiral abyss. I will say this though, if you do worry about numbers with your characters I do recommend checking what characters can help them do better or what weapons and stats and sets they need, but as a new player you don't really need to worry about all that until AR45. play how you want , and have fun

meta teams only really matter if youre trying to do heavy end game content or doing bosses in <10 seconds, i used to play klee before her buff (back when she was a bottom dps) and i did just fine, as long as you know how to build characters and understand team buffs/synergies ATLEAST A LITTLE

pretty much. Meta isn't necessary at all for the main game though. they're just the people who focus on damage only and for the more difficult side challenges. be free to use who you want to. if anyone ever gets mad at you for that? thats their problem

Yes play with whoever… meta is for sweats. Maybe if you want everything to be super easy like bosses and spiral abyss and you want primos fast, have one meta team. But pull whoever you want cuz literally anyone can be great

You certainly can play who you want and make it through the entire story. End game is where meta kinda matters but even then, that content is optional. I definitely complete end game with non meta teams that I just invested in a lot. Just play and build your favs!

I have been playing since 2021, have two accounts, and have fixed my og account recently my word of advice. Throw meta out the window only play characters you enjoy on my main (newer) i play a varka durin Columbina lauma team on my first ever account i play a mualani, linnea, klee, beidu team. My random team is far more fun then my meta team and i enjoy playing the game a lot more focusing on playstyles i enjoy

Don't worry to much about the Meta and use Bennet. He may be a 4 star but don't let that fool you. Bennet is the G.O.A.T.

It’s nice to have 1 meta character, but meta and big damage shouldn’t be the number 1 priority. Playing whoever you want will make the game a more enjoyable experience for the long run!

I have never once understood meta or how to properly build characters or teams. I have always run the characters i want, and I base weapons solely on if I like how it looks on them with little to no thought on if it works for them lmao

u can play w whoever u want it's just ppl care alot ab meta so they can get more rewards in endgame. also it's not recommended to actually build ur chars until like ar 45 when u can farm 5 star artifacts so just have fun!!!! <333

I feel like you shouldn’t take these comments seriously, meta is technically important if you want to do end game content. You can use none meta teams but they’re going to require more investments (time), sometimes money. But I would say don’t get a meta team if you don’t enjoy the main dps play style. Mavuika is rank 2 but I hate her play style, regret getting Citlali for her. My skirk premium team out preforms my mavuika team bc I enjoy investing into her, she’s ranked 5. Going for zibai bc she’s similar to skirk’s gameplay, it just so happens to be her team is ranked 1.

Some characters do way more damage than others, and the hardest content usually caters to specific mechanics. Take Lauma, for example. She enables something called Lunar Bloom. If your team doesn’t have her, nefer, or Columbina, your damage is just bloom. Certain enemies have their HP destroyed with lunar reactions, and without them it can take up to double the time to clear.
