Thank you for sharing your experience. I totally agree with you, and have had this experience as well. I am tired of being tired. I'm sure you are too. I stopped participating, and just send emails, and see who is going to take my idea. which is now timed stamped.

I pitched a daily mental health debrief in the am before we start working to my sup. Sup basically took my idea as her own as she shared with the team. I also shared about creating a workflow in onenote for the entire dept to share so as to reduce redudant questions and for consistency, also great tool to help new hires (I was shocked this was not already a thing) Guess who took that idea too. I am done sharing my ideas

And all of this in a COMMUNICATIONS department!!! Listening, observing, concentrating, focusing, and then thinking about engagement based on that process should be commonplace for communications. Sorry! What a mess. I would lose my mind if my communications colleague told me they weren’t paying attention in the communications discussion because they were doing email. 🤯

But when you stand up for yourself you aren’t being a team player. When you pull back and stop volunteering input, when you stop participating then you are the problem. It leaves us feeling like there is no way for us to “be” without being penalized. I’m over it.
