I’m a salon suite owner now. Previously when I worked in a commission salon I felt like I was always the one tidying up and doing things. Even if I was stacked busy all day. I didn’t get paid any extra, nor did I receive any gratitude from my boss for keeping the day going. Some could say “well it’s your job,” no technically my job I’m being paid to do is hair and keeping my area clean. I would do additional things because it’s the decent thing to do. Being in a suite it’s so nice not to have to clean up anyone’s mess but my own!
